It seemed straight out of a Southern Living magazine

Guntersville is located on Guntersville Lake. This northern Alabama lake is Alabama’s largest lake and it is 75 miles long! I loved driving through the town of Guntersville on the way over. It seemed straight out of a Southern Living magazine. Anyway, our brewery destination was right across the street from the lake. So while we sipped our beers, we sat outside and enjoyed the lake views!

Main Channel Brewing Company does not offer an extensive draft list like some other breweries do. However, out of the 11 beers that were on tap while we were there, the ones we tried were awesome. I tried the Peach and Apricot Sour and the Hydrant City Lager. The Peach and Apricot Sour was excellent – not too sour at all but still had a happy tart flavor. The lager was served in a 16 oz stein, for only $6! The lager was light and refreshing. Jesse had the Amber Ale and the India Pale Ale. Jesse liked the IPA better.

I can’t wait to visit Main Channel again in the future

Main Channel Brewing Company was a great finish to our cave trip. The bartender was friendly, the brewery was family friendly, and the whole place gave off a “local spot” kind of vibe. I really can’t wait to come back up this way in north Alabama – but I really can’t wait to visit Main Channel again in the future!

Happy Trails,
Katie & Jesse
