About Trails and Tap

Trails and Tap is about discovering the outdoors and visiting local craft breweries.

The story of Trails and Tap starts with a young married couple who live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia. Both are avid outdoors people who have enjoyed discovering everything nature has to offer for as long as they can remember. The pair has embarked on numerous outdoor adventures where they discover the geological, flora, fauna, wildlife, and historical backgrounds of the places they visit. Whenever they have the opportunity to visit new and interesting natural areas throughout the southeastern states, they are on their way!

The couple truly enjoys nature to its fullest. They are always looking and planning on where their next hike will take them, or where their next place to camp will be. Their adventurous hobby has taken them to many places that they always share with their family through stories of what they experienced and the photographs they take. And along the way, the two enjoy visiting local craft breweries and brewpubs to enjoy different and diverse styles of beer.

There are so many breweries today, and no two are alike. Located in small towns to big cities, some are well known and some not so much. Some of the craft beers are distributed nationally, and some regionally. But where is the best place to try these brews? Right at the source. Seeing and tasting the different types of brews, seltzers, and in some cases spirits, is – Fascinating!

In early 2023, the couple was asked to start documenting their adventures to share with the world. Shortly thereafter, Trails and Tap was launched to do just that – Share their adventures and to offer their recount of the places they visit with people who may want to visit these areas.

Meet Katie and Jesse, the two adventurers who bring their experiences to life within this website. Occasionally their two dogs, Invee and Marigold (Goldie), join them along the paths they take.

Welcome to Trails & Tap. We hope you find our articles interesting, and we all hope you’ll visit the natural resources and breweries that we have!
