Fire Maker Brewing Company

Fire Maker Brewing Company – Atlanta, Georgia

Fire Maker Brewing has an inside/outside taproom. There is seating inside, and if you want to sit outside, there is a covered porch area. There is bar food that you can order at a separate counter from the bar. The bar has a cozy vibe, is dog friendly, has TVS, and there was live music while we were there. The brewery has a dragon mascot, which is seen on their beer cans and walls of the brewery.

Originally, I wanted to go to Fire Maker Brewing because of a beer from them I had tried called Cherry Bake Sale (100% recommend if you do get a chance to try the cherry pie sour!). Although they did not have this beer on tap, the other ones we tried did not disappoint. There were 13 beers on tap, with fun names like Chattahoochee Tea, Calamity Jane, and Space Dragon: Mission 8. Jesse had the Way Down Yonder, which is a 4.8% ABV golden ale. He also had the Tilting Against Windmills, which is a 8% ABV Belgian Tripel. This beer was surprisingly lemony and very strong. I had the 4.2% ABV Key Lime sour and the Strawberry Feels 4.9% ABV sour.

Jesse’s favorite was the Way Down Yonder, and mine was the Strawberry Feels. If you are not a big beer person, Fire Maker also offers spiked sparkling coconut water and cider.

Fire Maker Brewing Company is 16 minutes from Zoo Atlanta. It is around 10 minutes away from Georgia Tech in midtown. That being said, if you are from Georgia, you know these times could vary because of how crazy Atlanta traffic can be.

Overall, we really enjoyed Fire Maker Brewing Company. In our next Atlanta trip, we will be sure to stop by for another round!
