Gate City Brewing Company – Roswell GA

Gate City Brewing Company is in a garage-like building with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It is in downtown Roswell, Georgia, so it is within walking distance of several restaurants. While we were there, the garage doors were up, and we were able to sit in a perfect breezy spot. There was also a stage set up outside for live music. Gate City Brewing is also pet and family friendly!

Our favorite beer was the Parti Starter at Gate City

Jesse and I both tried the Parti Starter, a pink tart sour ale. We also tried the Stroller Beer, which was a blonde ale (ironically, there were tons of toddlers, babies, and strollers the day we visited). Both were super refreshing, but the Parti Starter was our favorite. We have tried other Gate City beers at other bars, too. One of my favorites is Orange Slices, another fruity sour. If you live too far away from Roswell to visit, you can buy Gate City beer at the grocery store.

If you need a place to eat within walking distance, we’ve got a recommendation: Rock N Taco is a restaurant next to Gate City Brewing and we tried it out! Jesse had the chili cheese dip and I had the grilled chicken taco salad. It was very tasty, to say the least we will definitely be back for the famous tacos!

The city of Roswell, Georgia is a small quiet historic place that’s full of places to eat and relax all within walking distance! Gate City Brewing had a charge to park on their property, but we were able to find free parking close by. Be prepared to “pay n park” if you want a convenient spot. The brewery participates in bar crawls throughout the year, and it sounds like a blast. We will definitely check that out in the next coming months. Gate City was a great place to visit after our hike at Roswell Mill and Old Mill Park.

Tips for your trip:

• Gate City is dog and family friendly.
• It is hard to find free parking in Roswell. Parking spaces in the lots start at $10. We were able to parallel park on a road within walking distance of Gate City and Rock N Taco.
